RETROFIT SURVEYOR

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Surveying team at ERMC Limited as a Retrofit Surveyor. This position is based in Newport, Isle of Wight, working five days a week, Monday to Friday.

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (including but not limited to):
- Site liaison, site visits and technical surveying activities
- Surveying existing properties
- PAS2035 Assessor
- Digital scanning
- Energy Performance Certificate
- Options of in-house training for suitable candidates
- Confident communicator
- Options for fully funded role related training for suitable candidates

Post holders will need a full clean driving licence and will be subject to full DBS checks.


Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 (subject to experience and qualifications)

ESTATES GARDENER/RANGER

We are looking for a suitably qualified or experienced individual to work within our Estate Rangers team.

ERMC Estates and Rangers Services work across the Isle of Wight and South Coast of England supporting land management and gardening and estates services across approximately 750 acres and 2500 homes on private estates.

ERMC undertakes the works to the publicly owned private land areas using our experience team of rangers. Our vision is to develop and improve biodiversity within the estates and associated land managed by these estates. You will be joining our team of Rangers, working across a number of exciting projects and engaging positively within the communities we serve.

The post holder will be based on the Isle of Wight but is expected to work on a daily basis across any managed estates on the Isle of Wight, Hampshire, Sussex and Dorset as required in order to meet the needs of ERMC Estates.

Being prepared to be active in community engagement and having great people skills will be vital to the role.

This is a full-time position - 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday

QUANTITY SURVEYOR / CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR (INTERMEDIATE)

Our continued success allows us to look for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator to join our team based on the Isle of Wight. As such, you may be working at both consultant and clients’ premises, from home and in the office. We are often necessarily in our client’s workplace and on site during the construction phase, liaising with fellow consultants, co-workers, clients, and project stakeholders and helping to implement resilient and sustainable developments.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Analysing, developing, and supporting the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

  • Supporting planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project performance & project safety.

  • Supporting the identification of risk managing or monitoring mitigating actions.

 

Key experiences we are looking for include:

  • Cost Control, cost planning and change management

  • An understanding of standard Construction Contracts

  • Knowledge of Stakeholder Engagement

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

  • Be aware and be developing project management skills / Construction industry specific knowledge

Security clearance will be essential, as will a full clean driving licence and the ability to work freely in a variety of industrial / commercial and construction and external environments.

Working week is Monday to Thursday with half day on Fridays.

CHARTERED/SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

Along with a flexible and professional approach to your work, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years post qualification experience and sound construction industry technology and project process knowledge.  

Technological applications are important to us, and something we have continually invested in.  Experience in Revit and Autocad applications are highly desired but demonstrable excellent industry-based IT skills are a must.  

Working for us means working for both the private and public sector in residential, heritage, industrial and community development. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to confidently lead projects/teams. 

Key attributes: 

  • Relevant degree level qualification 

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience (preferably UK based) 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Proven project management skills  

  • Ability to delegate and lead a team 

  • Proficient in Revit, Autocad and image rendering packages would be advantageous

CHARTERED ARCHITECT

We seek a confident and professional ARB/RIBA Chartered Architect to join the architecture brand of our busy multi-disciplinary practice.  Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post-grad experience, be capable of operating across all RIBA stages and proficient in Revit. 

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate early-stage conceptual work for a variety of sectors as well as experience and desire to work with the latest technologies such as point cloud surveying and contemporary rendering packages. Working for us means working on projects in residential development and private and public sector developments often based in the community or public realm.  

A full, clean driving license is advantageous for work purposes but with the amenities available at the office, you can choose your means of transport to get to our central Newport location.
