Branstone Biosphere
Dipping Pond Fencing Install
We were asked to install fencing around the Branstone Biosphere dipping ponds as a crucial Health & Safety measure, ensuring that the general public can safely explore and enjoy the grounds of this newly established Biosphere area. The Branstone Biosphere is an important ecological and educational site, dedicated to preserving local biodiversity and fostering community engagement with nature. To support its safe and sustainable use, we installed a four-foot gate to provide maintenance access, as well as an eight-foot fence at the activity entrance, designed to facilitate controlled access during events and educational programs.
In total, we installed approximately 405 meters of fencing around the dipping ponds and along the rear boundary, which encompasses the key engagement area of the Biosphere. The fencing consists of a three-strand post and wire design, chosen for its durability, minimal environmental impact, and effectiveness in defining boundaries while allowing for visibility. To complete the installation, we carefully removed the existing wire and selectively cut from the boundary hedge to maintain the natural landscape and ensure the new fencing integrated seamlessly with the surroundings. This project not only enhances the safety of visitors but also supports the ongoing conservation efforts and public accessibility of this vital environmental resource.
